Judge Cuervo was appointed by Governor Rick Scott in 2018 and was elected for a six-year term beginning in January 2020. He has served as a Criminal County Court Judge at the North Dade Justice Center since his appointment. He is highly regarded by his peers and those who appear before him in his courtroom.
